When the living entity wants to become Krishna or imitate Krishna, he falls down into the material world. But since Krishna is the supreme father, His affection for the living entity is eternal, and thus He keeps company with the living entity as the Supersoul. By following the Supersoul's instructions, the living entity may some day return home, back to Godhead.
